The Council is composed of 7 elected GP members, who each represent a geographical constituency (Telford & Wrekin, Shropshire County North & South, Powys North & South and 2 general members) They meet every month to monitor the ongoing management of the company and debate and formulate policy.
In support of Council, the Chairman, who is elected annually by Council, has an executive operational role. The Chairman regularly attends various meetings to maintain a good understanding of the running of the company and represent the company both internally and externally.
Clinical Directorate whose function is to ensure that clinical quality and risk are managed consistently and to the highest standards. They are also responsible for the design and delivery of a complete training package that supports the induction and ongoing development of the clinical workforce, as well as contributing to the training, as appropriate of all staff. The function ensures robust clinical governance and standards are set and maintained, in order to minimise patient risk and provide organisational assurance;
Transformation Directorate whose function works with all staff and departments to ensure best practice is at the heart of all we do. Continuous improvement is vital to ensure we remain at the forefront of all that we do to remain competitive in order to retain existing contracts or win new business.
Operations Directorate whose function is to deliver a safe, efficient and timely patient-centred service, ensuring all staff are well trained, well managed and motivated, through the development and maintenance of robust systems and processes;
Human Resource Directorate whose function is to provide overall policy direction on human resource management along with administrative support functions related to the management and welfare of employees. The department is a strategic partner driving Human Resource programmes that attract, develop, retain and engage a skilled and diverse workforce.
Finance Directorate whose function is the efficient management of the day to day transactions and accounting processes of the company. Established systems and processes enable the production of timely and accurate montly management accounts and budget information, together with the monitoring and control of cash flow and profitability; also enabling the company to meet its compliance with statutory legislation.
