Shropdoc are seeking associate member GP's for the out of hours service, working a minimum of 12 sessions per year.

The service aims to:

  • Ensure patients receive high quality care when their own GP Practice is closed.
  • Reduce pressure on other parts of the NHS by reducing avoidable admissions.

Detailed in the table below are the minimum essential skills and experience requirements to be considered for Membership.

ESSENTIAL 

Clinical assessment of undifferentiated presentations in neonates, infants, children, adolescents, adults and older people

Care of pregnant women

Experience of managing Mental Health presentations

Experience of arranging and delivering Palliative Care

 

Detailed in the table below are the desirable skill and experience levels.

DESIRABLE

Previous experience of GP OOH work

Proficient in telephone triage

Male and female catheterisation

GPR Trainer or Supervisor

Section 12 Approved

 

Telephone Triage:  from Longbow, Shrewsbury

Base appointments and Home Visits: from Shropdoc bases throughout Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin, and Powys

Shifts: Weekday evenings, overnight, Saturday & Sunday and Bank Holidays, morning, afternoons, evenings and overnight.
