We are a not for profit Company providing a range of medical services for patients 24/7, 365 days a year.  We are currently looking to recruit a talented and team spirited Despatcher/Patient Care Co-ordinator working a range of shifts.  Due to the nature of the business, shifts will include days, evenings, weekends and Bank Holidays.

This is a dual role that incorporates despatching and call handling.

You will be dealing directly with health care professionals and patients over the phone, via email and fax. You will be responsible for dealing with confidential patient information and ensuring all information entered into our systems is accurate. 

You will be supporting a clinically lead team whose main role is to co-ordinate and facilitate the care of patients being admitted to hospital from their GP surgeries. You will also act as a single point of contact for GP’s accessing emergency secondary care.

You will also be responsible for the smooth running and efficiency of the ‘Patient Pathway’ in ensuring that all Home Visits and Base Appointments are undertaken, monitored and dealt with in a timely manner in accordance with laid down procedures and timescales.  A challenging role that requires the ability to multi-task and time manage, using both field and call centre systems and processes to support the role.

High standards are expected ensuring that a quality service is delivered to the business. Excellent communication, interpersonal, organisational and computer skills are essential. You should be self-motivated and able to work on your own initiative.

You will have 5 GCSE’s or equivalent, grade A-C / 4-9 with previous call handling, customer service or call centre experience an advantage.

All applicants need to be flexible and able to work at short notice, covering days, evenings, weekends and overnights.
