Senior Information Analyst

37.5 hours per week

Monday to Friday 9-5.30 pm (**some flexibility required)

£37,400 per annum

Based Longbow, Shrewsbury

 

Shropdoc are a not-for-profit company providing a range of urgent & primary care medical services for patients 24/7, 365 days a year, meeting the health care needs of the population we serve across Shropshire and Powys.

Reporting to the Director of Finance & IT, the Senior Information Analyst will manage the business intelligence team to develop, interrogate and interpret business data and information that will enable the team to support the Organisations corporate and clinical targets, goals, aims and objectives; and the goals and targets established by external agencies (e.g. NHSI, CCGs).

 

As the Senior Information Analyst you will work closely with Executive Directors, Senior Managers and other key staff and external agencies (e.g. CCGs).  Reporting and providing specialist data analytical advice and guidance on key information issues that pertain to Organisational and service performance, ensuring the Organisation has all the information it requires for the forecasting, planning and monitoring of its services and to meet set service improvement targets.

 

The post holder will be required to have a flexible outlook to workload in order to manage fluctuations and operational need.  You will already have significant experience gained within a similar role, from a broad spectrum of business such as the NHS/healthcare, public and private sectors with business analysis and improvement experience; have good business acumen, preferably educated to Degree level in a relevant discipline or equivalent professional and management experience. Have an in depth of knowledge of IT storage and reporting systems including SQL, Power BI, Microsoft Excel / Access / Word.

You will be a self–starter and have excellent communication skills, with a high level of accuracy, ability to extract, interpret, analyse complex statistical data, challenge information, put forward ideas, and present information to others, have an analytical thought process, organised and able to meet tight deadlines, and have a systematic approach to problem solving.
