Deputy Head of Operations
Salary: £65,000 per annum FTE
Location: Based in Longbow, Shrewsbury, Shropshire
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
We are recruiting for a new and exciting role at Shropdoc, to join our Senior Management Team as the Deputy Head of Operations. The position will report directly to the Head of Operations and work alongside the Clinical Services Delivery Manager.
Shropdoc is a not-for-profit company, established in 1996, originally for the sole purpose of providing urgent GP Out of Hours care to the population of Shropshire / Telford and Wrekin. Since then, services have extended and we now provide a number of clinical services across the 24-hour period. Our mission statement is “To keep the patient at the heart of all that we do” and we pride ourselves in striving to achieve this.
The role of the Deputy Head of Operations is a key leadership post within the Organisation responsible for the day-to-day leadership and management of the operations department and line management of designated individuals. The main responsibilities include supporting the Head of Operations in the performance, delivery, and development of Shropdoc’s portfolio of Primary and Urgent Care services across England and Wales. Importantly the successful candidate will work closely with the Medical Directorate to ensure a culture of continuous quality improvement that builds on our areas of strength and development.
In addition to promoting excellent relationships within the Organisation, the post holder will effectively communicate with external partner agencies and commissioners to ensure the highest standards of representation of the Organisation.
If you are educated to degree level (or equivalent), have senior management experience working in the Primary or Urgent Care sector, and have a successful record of delivery, we would be interested to hear from you.
What we can offer you:
NHS Pensions, Free Health Care Plans, 25 Days Annual leave plus BH, Full NHS Discounts, Onsite parking, and access to corporate benefits.
