Shropdoc’s Field Team are looking to recruit a new Field Team Supervisor.
This will be an exciting role for a person who possesses enthusiasm for building engagement in teams, is motivated to support people to deliver at their maximum and who is an experienced people manager with outstanding communication skills. You will be providing direct support to the Field Team Manager and working closely with the Medicines Management Lead and Field Technicians. Your work will include oversight of Primary Care Centres, operational equipment, vehicles, staffing and health and safety issues.
The Field Team’s work is underpinned by our commitment to patient care. This means making sure that clinicians and clinical facilities are supported to deliver this care fluidly. You will play a significant role in ensuring our base standards are met, as well as proactively and empathetically supporting the management of a large team of dispersed Primary Care Centre Assistants.
This role will differ from day to day and will require agility in both approach and delivery. The team you will be helping to manage are based across 10 different locations in Shropshire, Staffordshire and Powys (so there’s a lot of driving involved!).
Each day is different, but a typical Monday may look a little like this…
We are an out of hour’s organisation, so our busiest times are the evenings and weekends. Monday mornings will typically involve reviewing the weekend’s activity, identifying any problems and proactively finding solutions. This may involve conversations with hospital Estates departments to get a maintenance problem resolved, speaking with our Risk Office to review an incident that occurred, or contacting a member of your team who called in sick over the weekend to check they are ok.
After lunch you might find yourself off on a trip to Bridgnorth to complete and audit and make sure we are continuing to meet our outstanding bench marks for compliancy. A visit to one of your team to complete a one to one on the way back to base and then perhaps a quick meeting with our rota team to make sure that we are looking good in terms of shift fill and planning over the next weeks.
This is a busy job that holds an emphasis on ensuring that your team are engaged, productive and well-trained, alongside supporting to ensure that our base facilities are top notch and meet both our internal and statutory requirements.
